Grand Cayman Diving

I recently returned from Grand Cayman. In-between checking on my tax-free millions I squeezed in a bit of diving. The underwater conditions are still not ideal due to damage from hurricane Ivan in 2003. There is a building boom happening, but overall the island was quite nice. The best parts are Rum Point for beach bumming, East End for wall diving, and the Botanical Gardens for the naturist.

I've just returned from a visit to China with some classmates from Boston College. We went to Beijing for one week.

New Haircut

Teddy had his first haircut yesterday, at Petco in Waltham. They were very nice with him, and as you can see, he looks a lot different. They even gave him a little bandana! He now looks like a little dog rather than a puppy, and I must say I think he looks better with longer hair. Happy Thanksgiving!

New Puppy!

Here is our new puppy, his name is Teddy, because he looks like a teddy bear. He's very sweet, about 10 weeks old. Teddy is a mix called a cockapoo (cocker spaniel and poodle), and weighs in at about 4 pounds. He came from a breeder in Ohio, who was highly recommended. Now for a few sleepless nights and lots of training sessions.

Rolling Stones- Solidiers Field

Went to the Stones concert in Chicago, they wouldn't let cameras in, so I was stuck with my little Nokia camera phone. My brother invited me along and had 5th row seats, the best shot was this one during the intermission, of the stage. It was a beautiful night and an excellent show. For old guys, they really rock.

Poop-y Party

Went to see some puppies this weekend, thinking of getting a dog. This was a group of miniature pinschers, six puppies in all. The mother was very proud of these six-week old pups, and they chased her all around trying to get some milk... she was patient with them and very sweet... so this one is the one I may bring home... any suggestions for a name?

Diving in the Bahamas

I just returned from a vacation aboard a vessel designed specifically for scuba diving, the Nekton Rorqual, whose home port is Fort Lauderdale. Despite hurricane Dennis, we were able to depart nearly on time, and had some wonderful weather. As you can see I was able to take some photos, using my new underwater digital camera, the Olympus C7070 and companion underwater housing. This camera worked like a charm, and has now replaced my older Sea & Sea MX-10.

A big 'Thank You' goes out to my dive buddies Jerry, Terry, Jim, Michael and Jim. The crew at Nekton were great and special recognition goes to Benny the cook, who performed miracles in a 110 degree kitchen.

Spring is Here

Went to a Boston Celtics game the other night, the Celts beat Milwaukee.. barely. I moved to Boston in February, and life is much better here. Also working at Boston College, doing some very interesting things.

Also started graduate school at BC, and I live one minute from campus. Don't even need to drive anymore.

After seven years in Europe, I have moved back to the US. I'm now living north of Boston in a town called Portsmouth (near the sea), and finally diving regularly again! New projects galore here in the US, the newest is an online toy store called Treehouse Toys Online:
