Tom's Travel Journal

March 2001
Thursday, March 8, 2001 -- Nieuwegein, The Netherlands
It has been some time since I had an entry here, and I have been just too busy.  Also, my digital camera broke, and therefore not much to show visually.   But I thought I'd have an entry anyway, and shortly I'll buy another digital camera.

Well, it's been of course a busy nine months since my last entry.  Our little company is growing, and we have had plenty of adventures.  We still exist, however, and that I think is the most significant item of all.  I have seen a number of emerging companies over the past 6 months fail.  The economy is not at the strongest, and therefore we're cautious.  But anyway, our chances I think are pretty good, and we're just watching the basics of the biz...

What else- I am about to go on holiday next week- will spend 10 days at the Red Sea, mostly scuba diving.  This will be a trip of no mobile phone and no computer, and therefore I will be FORCED to relax.  I do find it difficult to relax lately so this will be good for me.

I am now spending a majority of my time in the Netherlands, mostly focusing on developing the business.  Shortly I will move from Paris completely.  Also, I took an apartment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire (US), where I will be based from now on in the US.  I'll see if I can dig up a picture of it, as the apartment is in the central part of Portsmouth on the harbor and has a nice view.

That's it for this month.  Glad to be back.
